What does August 1st have to do with anything? If you are trying to learn Affiliate Marketing, it is a very important date because that is when the Thirty Day Challenge starts. In case you don’t know, the Thirty Day Challenge is a program run by Ed Dale in Australia and Dan Raines in Gr. Britain. They have put together a program that will give you a solid foundation in the basics of affiliate marketing. In the process, you will learn efficient use of internet resources and how not to be overwhelmed by social media.

It is a tribute to the Thirty Day Challenge that many of us are planning to retake the challenge this year. The first year, you learn the basics. After that, it’s a great place to brush up on your marketing skills and learn current marketing trends. It looks like Facebook is going to be very hot this year. If you want to learn what that means from a marketing standpoint, why not join us for the challenge?

Don’t wait for August 1st. Preseason is starting now and it’s a great time to get familiar with the programs you will need during the challenge. I’ve already viewed the first two videos and there is so much more to come. Join us at the Thirty Day Challenge :0)

Car Shopping And The Race To Be A Giant Squid

That seems like an unlikely title but the two really are linked. You see I’m 2 lenses shy of the 50 needed to qualify as a Giant Squid on Squidoo. Because of that, I am working on an Affiliate Marketing campaign about car shopping and adding them to my main lens profile. The three I have most recently added are:

Car Purchasing Tips For Women
Car Shopping Insights
Car Shopping Quiz

I’m sure I have more work to do on all of them but they all show promise. Feel free to visit and let me know what you think.

Article Directory Rank

Some article directories are better than others.  EzineArticles is the undisputed leader but that doesn’t mean you should submit to them exclusively.  Different Directories get different traffic so you should patronize more than one.  Mark Mason has compiled a helpful list of article directories that is updated weekly called MasonWorld Article Directory Rank.  It’s a good place to find new directories to work with as well as know how effective they might be for you.

Enter Josh Spaulding’s Contest For A chance At An iPod Touch

Ipod Touch at Apple Store
Image via Wikipedia

Josh_Spaulding is giving away an iPod Touch. I figured I might as well put my name in the pot. It’s not that I’m known for winning contests but it’s true that if you don’t enter, you can’t win. The winner will be announced at approximately 1 p.m. EST May 8, 2009 via email so you still have time to enter.

Josh is one of the people I’m following on Twitter. I don’t know how you decide to follow someone or not. I generally go to their profile and look at the posts that are listed. If there is at least one that I am curious about, I click the follow button. It’s as easy as that.

Now, how do I know when someone tweets something? I’ve added the twitterfox app to my Firefox browser. It does the checking for me and makes it easy to keep up with what’s going on. If you are a high powered user, Tweetdeck seems to be well recommended and if I get to the place that I need more control over my Twitter usage, I will probably use it.

Not using Twitter?  I know it sounds stupid when you first hear about it but there has to be a reason why so many people have gotten hooked.  There’s something about having someone actually follow you and finding someone that you want to eavesdrop on.  You don’t have to get messages from anyone you don’t want so if someone sends junk out, you can simply remove yourself from their list.  No hard feelings.  Besides, it’s fun.
