Picture Hints from Caroline Middlebrook
Posted on January 24th, 2009 in My Internet Notebook
In today’s email, Caroline Middlebrook gave some ideas for improving the effectiveness of images in your blog.
If the image is on your own server, be sure to put your keywords in the file name.
If the image is in a post, put keywords in your Alt tag. (image src=”—–”alt=”—”)
If the image is on Flickr, you have to use their title but you can put a link to your blog in the description. On Flickr, you can also tag the picture with your keyword.
If you want to see what else Caroline Middlebrook recommends, check out the free courses in the blog’s top left column. As you can see, I enjoy her ideas and find them very practical. Now I’m off to check tags and add the Alt code.
